Magnum 2015 Brut Rosé

Magnums (1500ml) are arguably the ideal format for aging sparkling wines, allowing the full expression of maturity whilst retaining elegance and freshness. Regrettably we only made 24 of these and few remain. Hand riddled, hand disgorged and hand corked in January 2024. The almost nine years on yeast lees showcases this pure, single vineyard, expression of Southern Tasmanian Pinot Noir to perfection. In the larger format the 2015 Brut Rosé is both a sophisticated aperitif-style of Rosé and intensely moreish and food friendly. Elegantly long, dry and complex, Aromas of raspberries, cranberries), ripe peach, cherry, quince, dried rose petals and herbs. A fresh, fine palate of red berry fruits, quince paste with a zing of raspberry sherbet on the mid-palate overlay savoury/umami characters derived from the almost 9-year sojourn on yeast lees. The firm acid line and thrust of tannin compliment a lightly textured mouthfeel to give a refined, balanced palate and lingering, dry satisfyingly, moreish finish. Seriously frivolous.
